Most people pick Personal: one licence for your desktop and your laptop, plus Latte Scanner Pro for your iPhone or iPad when it launches. Pick Solo if you only ever use one computer, and Office to put Latte PDF on ten computers or more at work.

Because you shouldn't have to keep paying for something you already bought. You pay once, keep it, and get free updates to everything you've bought. Brand-new features may be offered separately, and you never need them to keep what you have working.

Yes. Download Latte PDF for free and use it on your own files for as long as you like. You can open PDFs, change the text, work on scanned pages and see the result on screen. To save an edited PDF, you need a licence. Enter your email and licence key in the app, click Activate, and saving is unlocked straight away, with no reinstall.

Yes. Scanning paper into searchable PDFs, locks and backups are free, with no account and nothing uploaded by the app. Latte Scanner Pro adds expenses, mileage, rental property, budgets and splitting for $7.99 once, and it comes free with Latte PDF Personal when it launches.

Each computer you activate Latte PDF on counts as one, whether it is a desktop, a laptop or a virtual machine. Reinstalling Latte PDF or updating the operating system on the same computer does not use another one.

On the old computer, open Latte PDF › Licence… and click Deactivate this computer. Then activate Latte PDF on the new one with the same email and licence key. You can do this as often as you need.

Go to Reset my licence, enter your licence key and the email you bought with, and every computer on your licence is deactivated at once. Then activate Latte PDF on the computer you have now.

Enter the email you bought with on Find my key and we will email your key to that address again.

Ask within 7 days of buying and you get a full refund, no questions asked. First deactivate Latte PDF on each computer (Latte PDF › Licence…, or Reset my licence for one you no longer have), then reply to your receipt or email support@latteapps.com. See the refund policy.

Every licence comes with its own invite code, in your licence email, in Help › Invite Friends and from Find my key. A friend who uses it pays 50% less for Solo ($5) or Personal ($6.50). An invite code never takes anything off Office. When 5 friends have bought, you get a Latte PDF Solo licence to use or give away. Refunded purchases don't count. A code works for at most 25 friends a year and is for people you know: please don't sell it or post it publicly. We never tell you who bought. See the terms of sale.

Two. A creator's code, from someone who writes or makes videos about Latte PDF, takes 30% off Solo or Personal; the creator earns part of what you pay. One code per order: a creator's code and a friend's invite code don't add up, and neither takes anything off Office. Enter a code under Have a code? in the pricing section, or a friend's or creator's code at checkout.

Yes. Lemon Squeezy, which handles checkout, emails you a receipt. Open View Order in it to add your company name and address and download an invoice.

Pick the number on the Office card: $49 covers the first 10 computers and each one after is $4.90, up to 500 on one key. For example: 15 computers, $73.50 · 25 computers, $122.50 · 50 computers, $245. Already have Office? Add computers at $4.90 each, the same as at first, with the same key.

Only when you click Activate, Deactivate this computer, Check for updates, a button in Help › Invite Friends, Add language in Make Form. It never goes online by itself: no background connections, no usage tracking, nothing at launch. Your documents are never sent.

Activating and deactivating send your licence key, your email and an anonymous ID for this computer, so we can count computers against your plan. After that the licence is checked on your own computer, so the app works with no connection. Checking for updates sends no licence key, email or usage data, and neither does Add language, which downloads a font for form answers in Chinese, Japanese or Korean.

Yes. You pay once, from $9.99, and get free updates to everything you've bought: fixes, improvements and new versions. Brand-new features may be offered separately; you never need them to keep what you have working. There is no subscription and nothing to renew.

Macs with macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, with Apple silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs aren't supported for now. Windows and Linux versions are coming in 2027. If it doesn't run on your computer, you get your money back.

It is made for exactly that. Latte PDF opens, edits, previews and saves your PDF on your own computer, so contracts, medical forms and tax papers never leave it. There is no account and no cloud copy of your files, and Save as writes a new PDF, so your original is never changed.

Yes, on your computer, with nothing uploaded. File › Export to Word… writes a document that flows like one typed in Word: paragraphs, headings Word knows as headings, bold and italic, lists, tables and pictures, without the running headers and page numbers. Export to Excel… gives each page its own sheet, its tables cell by cell with numbers you can add up, and the rest of its text below. Export to PowerPoint… makes a slide of each page, with its text in boxes you can edit.

The export is made from your edited copy, the same one Save as would write, so what you blacked out stays out. Scanned pages are read on your computer first. Your PDF is left as it was.

Yes. File › Compare with… opens the two files side by side, scrolling together: added, removed and changed words each highlighted in their own colour, with a list of every change to step through. A page that moved shows as moved, and scanned pages are read on your computer first. Comparing is free; with a licence, Save comparison report… writes the changes as a new PDF. Neither file is changed.

Yes. File › Batch… takes files or a whole folder and does one thing to each: make it searchable, export its text or export it to Word, Excel or PowerPoint, save it with a password, remove personal info, or combine them all into one PDF. Each result is a new file, named after its original with an ending you choose, such as " (searchable)", and never written over another file, and the originals are never touched. A file that needs a password is skipped and named, so you can open it on its own.

Latte PDF never writes your name, your computer's name or its folders into a copy you save.

File › Document Info… shows what a PDF carries besides its pages, such as the author, the apps that made it and names on comments, and which of those details a copy can leave out. Turn on the Remove personal info choice, there or when you save, and the copies you save leave them out. For a protected PDF the choice is off, and the app says why.

The document's own content stays as it is: the words on its pages (a scanner's invisible text layer too), comment text, form answers, attached files and scripts. To take words out for good, use Black out. Before you save, it shows what it will take out and what it can't reach, such as what is inside an attached file.

Not from your documents, ever, and the app sends no usage data at all. To sell you a licence we need your email address and the details our payment provider requires. This website sets no cookies. It keeps anonymous, cookie-free daily counts of visits and clicks, with no IP address or visitor identifier. The privacy policy lists everything.
